Devoid is a band from Purwodadi, Central Java, formed in 2015 and comprising Harmawan Rumiyanto (vocals), Hendra Ardiansyah (guitar), Iqbal Setyo Wibowo (drums) and Ryan Scylla (bass). In terms of the naming and meaning of the name, ‘Devoid’ itself can be interpreted as a state of non-existence, likened to something that is transient.
In short, essentially everything that is transient will vanish, crumble, fade or disappear in accordance with the laws of nature and the universe. Therefore, this is also closely intertwined with the main theme explored in the demo ‘Heathenish Creation’, which was released in 2023.
